
SENA YURIKA
Sena Yurika Çağla is an actor, deviser and a theatre maker currently residing on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of Squamish (Skxwú7mesh), Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), and Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ) Nations.
She is a recent graduate from Simon Fraser University with a BA in Theatre Performance. As a Japanese-Turkish artist, her work focuses on creating connections between cultures while embracing differences.
Recent performances on this theme includes: ‘Heart of the Scarecrow' inspired by Corazón del espantapájaros (Audain Gallery) and her one woman performance ‘I Oppress’ in 9 Lives/(Le) Chat in a Box. She has also performed and devised with artists from multiple disciplines in Bombogenesis and in Topophilia.
